Running in its 9th year the forum brings together the who’s who of leaders from Southeast Asia’s sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, insurance firms, private banks and family offices for high-level discussions on the most important investment management issues.

Over the course of the two days, delegates will hear from investors from the region’s top funds, renowned academics and the most successful asset managers on issues ranging from portfolio construction and risk management to investment opportunities and macroeconomic forecasts.

Excellence Awards

The institutional excellence awards are an annual awards programme designed to recognise excellence and best practice among institutional investors across Asia Pacific.

The awards are open to all institutional investors across Asia Pacific, including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, central banks, insurance companies and other official institutions – large or small.

In all there are 18 awards, as follows:
Institutional categories
Central bank; Insurance company; Corporate pension fund; Endowment; Public pension fund; Sovereign wealth fund; Individual contribution to institutional investment

Market categories
Australia/New Zealand; China; Hong Kong; Japan; Southeast Asia; South Korea; Taiwan

Regional categories
Governance; Innovation; Investment capabilities; Social responsibility

Awards are judged on four areas of qualitative judgement. The aim is to understand and compare tangible progress as an investing entity, rather than to pick winners based on arbitrary snapshots of fund performance.

Winners will be recognised at a gala awards dinner on the first evening of the Southeast Asia Institutional Investment Forum, Wednesday, 30 November.

For award nominations please email for further information. Self nominations by institutions as well as nominations by third parties are welcome.
